Stapleton Road Street Fayre
11th October 2008

After some years of absence, the Stapleton Road Street Fayre in Easton, Bristol became a reality again this year thanks to an organisation called "Love Easton". "Love Easton" was formed to bring the community of Bristol Easton together again and the Easton Corps of the Salvation Army was proud to be part of it.

It was a wonderful day of fun. The weather was like a summer's day and the whole community turned out to enjoy what was on offer. Attractions included a music tent where many different kinds of music were performed during the day, craft stalls, food stalls with contributions from many countries, creative play areas, rest areas to name but a few.
The Salvation Army stall hosted balloon sculpture, face painting, bead craft as well as display boards showing the Army's work in and around Bristol as well as the Kenya Trust project supported by both the Easton and the Staines Corps. Of course any Army stall would not be complete without Army music and an Army cup of tea.

Plenty of invitations were handed out for the activities at Bristol Corps including Brownies, Access all Areas music club, Kids Alive and Urban Saints along with information on services. The celebrations ended with an enthusiastic parade along the street.
